Inspired by the emotional geography of Noah Kahan’s songwriting, this artwork is a metaphor for the bittersweet weight of packing up and leaving everything you know behind. Trading safety of land for an expansive midnight sea, framing the horizon as a daunting but necessary journey toward self-discovery.
Holding the heavy accumulation of childhood memories, old habits, and the people left back home. The shimmering trail of moonlight striking through the center as a silent, optimistic promise: a guiding light affirming that even when you feel like you are swallowed by an unfamiliar world, you possess the inner light to navigate the unknown. The sea is wide open, and you are ready to cross it.
