Where the World Bends

is a collection of atmospheric landscapes that study the seamless transition between water and sky. Mostly calm, deeply rich, and intensely moody, each piece investigates the boundless rim where the earth curves and the horizon dissolves. Integral to the collection are the vintage frames that hold each landscape. Individually sourced and inherently one of a kind, every frame carries its own age, patina, texture, and history, becoming part of the composition rather than simply surrounding it. The paintings were created in connection with these found objects, pairing new landscapes with frames that have already lived a life of their own. Together, the painting and frame exist as a single piece: something newly made held inside something time has already touched.
