This piece of work explores the friction between heavy, suffocating grief and the irrepressible urge to heal. Inspired by the raw lyricism of Dermot Kennedy, the landscape serves as an emotional architecture. The low, bruising cloud representing the weight of an unyielding internal storm. However, the painting is ultimately an act of resilience. The central burst of light proves that beauty and hope cannot be permanently suppressed by storms. A visual manifestation of a spirit struggling not to shine.
